| Benefits for Veterans and Active Servicemembers
The VA Education and Training Program helps (eligible)Veterans pay to further their education and skills. Program benefits include money for tuition, housing, training, and other education related expenses. Benefits can be used toward traditional degrees, non-college degrees, on the job training, apprenticeships and more. The program also provides health care services for Veterans. All Veterans enrolled in the VHA Standard Medical Benefits package are eligible if they meet clinical requirements.
Armed Forces Tax Benefits are available for qualifying active members of the U.S. Armed Forces, the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard, including those serving in combat zones. The U.S. Merchant Marine and American Red Cross are not included but they may qualify for tax deadline extensions when in service in a combat zone.

Survivors and Dependents Assistance (DEA) offers education and training opportunities to dependents of Veterans who are permanently and totally disabled due to a service-related condition, or of Veterans who died while on active duty or as a result of a service-related condition. Qualifying Students are paid up to $1,021 monthly to help with education expenses. Applicable for college, business school, tech/vocational programs, apprenticeships, work study and more.The Marine Gunnery Sergeant John David Fry Scholarship is available to (eligible)Veterans who have complex health care needs and need daily assistance with activities like bathing, dressing, fixing meals, or taking medicine. Caregiver Programs and Services are provided through the US Department of Veterans Affairs to support qualifying families and caregivers in providing the best care at home. The programs also offer a support line where you can speak with a Caregiver Support Coordinator to find out about assistance in providing care for your Veteran.
