| How to Claim your Unclaimed Money:
If the government, a bank or credit union, a previous employer, or your pension plan owes you money and you don't collect it, it's considered unclaimed. This is also true for property in your name. Many people have unclaimed property and assets available to collect and don't even know it. A good first step to claim your property is to use the resources on this site to find the money that is rightfully yours. There are many State and Federal resources to help you find and claim your assets. The resources on this website are mostly State and National websites. You can use them in two ways:
Many States keep their own searchable databases of unclaimed money and property, which you can use to find unclaimed assets in your name. Some unclaimed property will fall under government branches instead, so you will need to search their separate databases for additional unclaimed money in your name (for example: the IRS's tax refund database).
Many States and Government branches have outreach programs which you can qualify for to get assistance with nutrition, child support, education, and tax filing.
